Truth ... Does It Matter?

Does truth matter? We are about to elect our next president. Have we ever had such blatant liars in our candidates as we have today in Barck Obama and those who run alongside him? There is no need to go into detail on anything he has said .. for anyone who is truly honest with himself will either acknowledge that they have not really paid much attention to what he.. Obama ... has said behind the scenes.. that all they hear is what is said on the "pulpit"... or that of course they have heard the "things" he..Obama ... has been "purported" to have said... saying this even as they hear the words coming directly out of Obama's mouth... yet somehow still making excuses for what Obama said or refusing.. absolutely just plainly refusing to hear them.. for that would destroy the "magic"... would it not? What is going on in our society today? Is it simple stupidity or is it he fact that truth just means nothing anymore...that all that matters is the illusion put up in front of people to see? Have honesty, integrity, character .... truthfulness .. all become so little a part of people's lives that it does not matter that a person who calls his constituents "red necked racists" may well be reelected by those very same people to govern for them? Have they become so small a part of daily life that we would ignore the truths of a man who has admittedly revered and followed another who on a daily basis spits out hatred for every aspect of this country as we know and value it to be? Have these qualities become so little a part of our lives that we can ignore the truth ... not even see it ... and blindly elect a man to be our president who has vowed to change our very governnment.. a man who has referred to our Contstitution as a politcal document with serious inherent flaws .. .flaws that need to be "fixed"? Has character and honesty become so insignificant today that we as a nation can elect a man who would deny saying the very words we hear him saying ... attempting to make us believe we really did not hear those words? If we vote in Barack Obama as our next president .. I would guess that TRUTH will become a very painful part of our lives .. come way way way too late.
