Snail Mail... A Special Treat
Snail mail.. the old fashioned mail via the mailman... is a special treat to recieve in these times where email and phones make contact so immediate. Everyone loves getting something in the mail. If you have grandchildren, a letter or card from Grandma or Grandpa is a treat never forgotten. Parents getting a letter or note from that child living away from home .. in college or off married raising his/her own family ... are probably the most pleased people of the day. A college student who recieves a card in the dorm will treasure it .. it may be just the lift he/she needs for that day. Aunts or uncles will smile from ear to ear upon reaching in the mailbox and pulling out an envelope containing pics of nieces and nephews living far away. Keeping in touch is such an important part of life... and there is something about keeping in touch through the mailman that is always something special. |
