Politics or Diseased Culture?
Listening to the politicians of the day .. I hear once more the promises being made to make everything "easy" for everyone .. except for those working the hardest and doing the most for our economy.. the businessmen .. the busniness owners.. the corporations .... and I have to wonder.. is this really politics or is it instead a sign of a diseased culture in our society today? We live in a time when so many think getting something for nothing is a right .. that it is owed to them ... and if they don't get it there is alot of whining and crying and hatred for those who would not give them what they want or who put up a roadblock to stop it being given to them. Are those politicians ...proclaiming their "promises" of everything to everyone .. and the people who cheer and scream before the politician.. hooting in glee as the politician blames our President for eveything .. right down to their maxed out credit cards ...are these things simply a symptom of the disease? A diseased culture... or a plain "dumbing down of America" by a culture where the latest and most important news is of the cheap papparazzi producing type? Are they one and the same? You can be the judge for yourself. |
