How A Child Learns
How complicated is it.. how a child learns? You can teach a child anything .. but what he learns is how he puts these teachings together with the actions he seees in those teaching him. You can teach a child that he should not lie. If he then hears you in a lie .. even a simple white lie that might be telling someone on the phone a person isn't home when the chld knows he is .. it undoes everything you taught him about lying. If a child is taught to be kind to people then you are instantly angry with him over a spilled glass of milk... the teaching is immediately in danger of being undone. A child learns what he lives .. much much more than what he is taught with words. Remember that the next time you react to something in front of your child. What your child learns is so dependant on your actions. |
