A Citizen's Responsibility
As citizens of the United States, we all have a very real and undeniable responsibility. That responsibility is to vote. The ability is not only a right, it is a privilege and a duty. Our votes are what determine what our country stands for and what it will continue to stand for. We all had the responsibility to vote in the presidential primaries, which of course we didn't all do. With those primaries coming to an end, it won't be long before we know who the presidential candidates for November's election will be. Once that announcement is made, our next big responsiblity will be to make sure we each know what each candidate stands for, how they look ahead to treating the issues of the day, and most importantly .. how they plan to ensure that our freedoms stay intact. If you value our freedom .. it will be of no benefit at all to vote without knowing these things about who you plan to vote for. Casting a vote based on emotional value only could be disastrous for your freedom. Take the time to make sure you know the candidate you think you lean toward. Nothing is free. What we have in this great country of ours has been won by many lives over the years. Don't squander that. Make your vote count toward that freedom. |
